about
The $25 million Eastern Irrigation Scheme is a joint project between Water Infrastructure Group and
Melbourne Water.
Under the partnership, Water Infrastructure Group designed and built a Class A treatment plant to supply recycled water for the scheme. At the time, it was the largest ultrafiltration recycled water treatment plant that had ever been built in Australia.
Water Infrastructure Group also designed and built the 60 km pipeline network that distributes Class A recycled water
to 80 customers
for horticulture, recreational, industrial and residential use.
The Eastern Irrigation Scheme operates under the brand TopAq, a wholly owned subsidiary
of Water Infrastructure Group. TopAq will own and operate the scheme for
25 years.
